Dear family of Fe y Alegría, thank you very much for allowing me to be present at your forty-eighth International Congress, which is held in mixed modality, face-to-face in Bogotá, and through technology, with the rest of the world.
I still keep in my heart the memory of our warm meeting in Madrid in 2018, an occasion in which we faced the challenge of a more global Fe y Alegría that educates in the borders of exclusion. It was a moment of deep renewal of the founding spirit that led Father José María Velaz and the group of university students who accompanied him, inspired by the generosity and dedication of Abraham and Patricia Reyes, to follow generously the call to commit themselves to the education of the poorest.
